CSEC ENGLISH SBA PROGRESS CHECKLIST

Staying organised is one of the most important factors in successfully completing your English SBA. Don't lose marks because you may have overlooked key requirements.

To help you stay on track, I have provided a clear, step-by-step CESC ENGLISH SBA PROGRESS CHECKLIST below. Use it to monitor your completion of each component, meet deadlines and ensure that nothing is missing from your portfolio.

Review each section carefully and tick off tasks as you complete them. 


CSEC ENGLISH SBA PROGRESS CHECKLIST


PHASE 1: FOUNDATION

[  ] Group of 3–5 members formed.

[  ] General topic selected and approved by the teacher.

[  ] Individual sub-topic selected.

[  ] Plan of Investigation completed (125–150 words).


PHASE 2: RESEARCH & REFLECTION

[  ] Artefact 1 (Print) selected and transcript/copy included.

[  ] Artefact 2 selected and transcript/copy included.

[  ] Artefact 3 selected and transcript/copy included.

[  ] Reflection 1 written (150–200 words) – focusing on "How it shaped my thinking".

[  ] Reflection 2 written (150–200 words) – focusing on "Language techniques used".


PHASE 3: CREATIVE & ORAL COMPONENTS

[  ] Writing Task Plan/Outline (40–50 words).

[  ] Original Writing Task completed (250–400 words).

[  ] Oral Presentation prepared (3–5 minutes).

[  ] Oral Presentation Transcript/Notes added to portfolio.

 

PHASE 4: FINALISATION

[  ] Bibliography completed using APA style.

[  ] All spelling and grammar checked.

[  ] Final review with teacher for authenticity.


If you can confidently tick every box on this checklist, you are well on your way to submitting a complete and well-prepared SBA portfolio.

Remember, organisation reduces stress and improves performance. Use this checklist consistently throughout the process - not just at the end.
